With Halloween around the corner and in my mind I decided to pick up walking dead season 3 this past weekend. Now for those of you who have not been watching this show I will let you know that it has been on the "okey" scale for me with the past few seasons... but I am a halloween nut and I NEED stuff like this even if its only ok. that being said, Season 3 really started getting things moving. there was more excitement and character building in this season then both the prior combined.
The Third Season has a bunch of really big story moments including them finding an amazing new fortitude, some ninja chick that I have decided is the most bad ass chick i have ever seen on tv, and a new enemy that has some big secrets. If your like me and wait for the DVD's Get this one!
In addition to becoming addicted to the show I have also become infatuated with the graphic novel! I know Comics are for nerds but I am a graphic designer... so its my job to be a nerd (and I do it oh so well). Since I am a graphic designer at first I was a bit upset it wasn't color but I was wrong. The art by Tony Moore is nothing short of extraordinary. The books are fully black and white with gray tones for shading... but that makes the book even better! The books theme and feeling makes black and white the perfect choice. you don't miss the color at all.
In my personal opinion the acting in the graphic novel is even better then in the show. More proops to Moore! his facial expressions and body language with his characters are so entertaining.
of course the story is amazing as well and takes many different turns then the story. So you can watch the show and read the comic and not feel like you know what is going to happen... if you like the show, you will like the comic.
