All through school we are taught the importance of writing. I have been told to write to remember, to communicate and it's a skill needed for life. These three points never made a solid impact on me and in return was hard for me care to do it.
Recently I read about a more appealing reason to write. This new reason made me finally realize the importance of writing for me. It is the reason I enjoy writing today. What I learned was, writing helps you organize thought process.
When beginning to solve a difficult problem, I have learned that the best thing to do is to start writing. The act of writing allows you to hold your thoughts on paper. This frees up your mind to focus on your next thought letting you come to a deeper understanding of the problem and how to solve it.
When you have an idea, its just that, an idea. When you take that idea and write it down then you've started to create something. There is something very rewarding about making, and writing is an amazingly easy way to do so.
If you have a great Idea or if you simply want to start creating. I suggest writing, as a place to start.
