The   difficulty   of   starting   from   a   stand   still

7/29/2014

Many of you may know that I have been on an unofficial hiatus for the past month. I am sorry I haven't said anything, I had no idea how much work this month was going to be. Good news is... I'm BACK and more ready then ever to keep you updated on all my new endeavors.

I have found it hard to write this first returning post as I have had a blast this past month with the wedding and honeymoon in London.

I started getting used to not producing and even had hints of lazy in my day to day. I whipped out the drawing pad here and there to convince myself I was doing something but I haven't posted the sketches on Instagram with my usual schedule.

But with any start up. Now is as good a time as any to begin (again). I have a lot of new things in the project bucket and I am ecstatic to share them all with you. I have talked with two amazing writers and friends to help me with the Stories page of the site. I heard parts of both and I am so pumped to share them.

It will still take a bit of time to get into the stories page as I will be illustrating the lot of them. This is another daunting task but I want you to know they are still on the way. I'm not getting out of them that easy.

If you are like me, procrastination is always knocking. It's a slippery slope. The more you give in the easier it is to stay compliant but compliant is counter productive to progress. I urge you today to start the project on the back burner. I ask you to commit an hour today to that scary task you have been thinking of doing. Who knows, maybe you will be glad you did, or maybe you will continue for another hour.

Try to start projects "today". If you always start "tomorrow," chances are you may never see the project complete.

Also, please email me if you'd like to read about anything in particular. I love writing about my stuff. But maybe you have some topics you'd like further info on. I will do my best.
