Social media is great, you get a lot from it, build a following and connect with like minded people. But you must have your own hub where people can find you. You must have a place that is yours.
when you sign up for social media, You are basically renting a space on their website. You do not own the right to do what you want on that site. I also just learned you don't really have the right to the first amendment either but that's a whole other story. #redbarradio
Don't get me wrong, I understand parameters and the fact that Facebook is not a government owned thing, I'm just saying you have to have a place where you can SAY WHAT YOU WANT, social media should not be relied on for that service.
let's say you totally agree with facebook's views on what is offensive. this might be pretty common but Can you say without a doubt, in ten years you will still have the same views as facebook?
I'm not so certain.
